This project involved the creation of a mural for a conference room at the Texas Attorney General’s Office (AG). At the time, I was working at the AG's Office and teaching at the Austin School for the Performing & Visual Arts (ASPVA). My Division Director wanted a mural in the conference room, but senior management called the idea "graffiti". I worked closely with all involved to develop an acceptable concept. Strong communication skills and diplomacy assisted in resolving concerns, a student from ASPVA was asked to execute the painting, and a beautiful oak tree covered in monarchs now adorns the Tort Litigation conference room wall.
